 Cloud
Hill was designed exclusively as a "one of a kind" house for a
very demanding Client. The house design was the result of a limited
submission architectural competition and was constructed and completely
fitted out in 1965.
The house was featured in the 1972 Daily Mail book of House Plans as the
House of the Year and is considered by many as an Icon to the 60's. The
House has changed very little from the photographs and we quite regularly
receive visitors whom ask if they can look at the house.
It is rumoured in the area that Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones tried to
purchase the building before its completion and that Ringo Starr of the
Beatles was a regular visitor to the property
 Previous
owners of the house have passed down the information that the House was
originally named Cloud Hill after the home of T E Lawrence, Lawrence of
Arabia whose home was Clouds Hill. It is rumoured that there was some
family connection at the time of original construction but unfortunately
we cannot verify this at this moment
 Our home is set within two acres of welsh hillside and almost completely
surrounded by trees which make the house very private despite its
proximity to the A5. The bedrooms, because of the unusual layout are
located at the rear overlooking a secluded garden surrounded by trees, one
of which is a massive Oak tenanted by mischievous squirrels that tease our
three cats. Our lounge is enormous and equipped with TV and hi fi and
opens through large french doors onto a private lawn which is available
for evening relaxation. There is more than enough easy car parking in
front of the house and should our guests require, a car may be left parked
during the day.
BEDROOMS
The bedroom accommodation comprises two bedrooms which are generally let
to our guests and our own master suite which can be let should the demand
arise.
Bedroom One
Is twin bedded with access ensuite to wash basin wc and shower. The beds
can be placed together if required or seperated as two singles.

Two
Is twin bedded with access to a bathroom fitted with wash basin and bath.
Bedroom Three
Our own suite is fully ensuite with bath shower WC and vanity basin and
self contained. It is let only when the area accommodation is stressed or
we get a booking requirement for six persons.

Related to Spanish and European Aristocracy of Anglo - Spanish parentage,
bilingual in Spanish and English with good working knowledge of French.
Currently instructor in advanced Spanish interpretation and translation

Manchester Lancastrian born and educated. Registered Architect and Member
of the Royal Institute of British Architects, Member of the Institute of
Architects and Surveyors and Member of the British Institute of Management
Currently self employed Chartered Architect practicing from home.
We enjoy meeting new people and entertaining our friends of many years
from all over Europe, North and South America.
